Simon has been painting for twenty years. During this time he has experimented with a variety of
mediums and has discovered that he prefers soft pastels and acrylics.
His subject matter is the landscape of Lincolnshire, the second largest county in England. He enjoys
exploring the light and colour of his subjects using an impressionistic style. In his abstract work the image is produced
using memories of places and the feelings that they created in him.
His work is held in private collections in the U.K, U.S.A and New Zealand. Prices for his work range
from £30 to £350.
Simon believes, where possible, in framing his own work using recycled timber. This produces a unique,
rustic appearence to the finished work.
Recently, Simon started to produce greetings cards using his images and these have proved popular
selling locally and via mail order.
